I'm a 21 year old mother of one girl who is 3. I've had the Mirana IUD for about 3 years. I never had problems until now. I have a new boyfriend whom I've been intimate with for about a month. For the last two weeks I've been having nausea, Cramps, dizziness, Ive been really tired and moody, I've had to urinate more often, My nipples are now very sensitive and about a week ago I had brown spotting. I was told that the mirana was 99.9% effective against pregnancy. But with all of these signs I can't help to think I I may be pregnant but I'm very scared to find out. The other day I found myself eating chocolate cake and pickle flavor potato chips (I hate chocolate) and I also find myself eating a lot of onion rings (something else I hate) I've also had pelvic/ lower adomen cramps. Am I psyching myself in to believing I'm pregnant (which I def. don't want) or is their a logical explanation behind the way Im feeling?

The only way to know is HPT or a visit to a Doctor. No method is 100% and, as you know, there certainly is a chance of pregnancy with Mirana. The website says 99% - maybe you are reading something different. You could be part of that 1%, of course.

You've been pregnant before so you should know some of how you should/would be feeling.

Food cravings? I think you are talking yourself into something.
