I am in search of my biological parents. I was given up for adoption in 1964. I was boorn at Booth Maternity Center in Los Angeles CA. My name before my adoption was Christopher Dean Chapple and my birth date is July 11, 1964. I love my Mother and have her full blessing but have medical conditions that require answers. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta and have broken over 60 bones in my life. My last break was 16 fracturs in my right ankle. I have high blood pressure, scoliosis, and other medical conditions that require some answers if possible. How do I go about finding the information? I tried someone who would search for me, but they wanted $1500 to search and would not promise results. Any help would be great!

NO one will promise results from a closed adoption search. Sorry, but closed records means that you can't guarantee results.

Have you tried free adoption reunion sites? A few are listed in the sticky at the top of the adoption boards.

You are actually in a situation most closed adoptees are not: you have a medical condition that needs records and answers. It may be expensive, but you have the option of going to court to get your medical records unsealed without personal information on your birth parents. You will most DEFINITELY need a lawyer for this, and there is still no guarantee that you will get answers, but it's a better shot than most people have.
