I have a belt buckle made of silver given to me by my aunt who worked on an Indian reservation as a young lady. When I was in my twenties (I am now 70), she gave the buckle to me as a gift. She told me it was made of early U.S. coinage hammered into shape. On the back of the buckle is carved the intials of PIJ. The buckle has a very large turquoise in the center.
If anyone needs further info or a photo, please email me at [email protected]. I am interested in finding out the name of the silversmith who created this piece and the approximate value. Many thanks. David
