I apologize for posting this as an answer, but I can't figure out how to email you directly. Did you find your answer? My mother just passed away (she was 79) and we found that she painted a hallway with a rainbow and the words "For Rent" below it. I have been trying to see what meaning those words may have had for her. I assumed it was a song or a poem, stumbled across your several posts, and am now thinking maybe it's the same poem you are searching for. My parants subscribed to the Saturday Evening Post for years, were married in the 50's... I don't know. All I know is I lived and visited that house for years, knew the rainbow was there, but never saw those words until after she was gone. Now I feel I must find the meaning. I've searched the web for hours, found nothing. Anyway, sorry I couldn't help, but am hoping that you can help me. Thanks!
