Hello,

I had a business that went under last year. I just got served by a company we leased/bought equipment from because they claimed that they sold the equipments for less than it was worth. They never gave us a chance to sell it ourselves.

I am being serverd in the state the company rsides, Wisconsin. I am in New Hampshire. How do I respond? What can I say in response to the summon?

Please I need hep.

Thanks.

Anthony

They have the right to sell it, if they took it. You could have sold it and paid them in full if you had wanted prior to giving it to them.

They do't give you a chance, except to pay in full ( and that can be any way you want)

And yes this is how it works, if it sold for less, normally a lot less) you can often owe almost as much after the sale.

The terms of the loan/or lease will say where they can sue you at. So go back to the paper work for that.
