Whenever I do a load of clothes, there is a gurgling sound in our kitchen sink. Now I notice that water comes up through my bathtub drain along with feces matter? We have a septic system and we just had a new drain field and a 1,000 gallon tank put in 3 months ago. This problem was occurring until then, than stopped. Now it seems to have started all over. Any thoughts as to the cause?

Assuming everything's OK with the septic system it sounds like you have two problems.
The gurgle tells me the washer vent's blocked and the backup speaks, (or smells) by itself.
When your washer discharges it sets up a vacuume in the system that's relieved by the roof vent. If this vent's blocked the suction will pull air through a trap and the sound you hear is the air passing through the water seal of the trap.
Have both the washer and the kitchen roof vents checked and snaked if necessary.
You have a blockage downstream from the bathroom. Snake from the lavatory roof vent,
Put out enough cable to reach the base and 18 feet more. Good luck, Tom

When they put in your new septic did they use one of those white PVC pipes sticking up from the ground so you can get at a filter?
