I have a small house with a major freeway behind it and a major four way street in front. I am interesting in perhaps renting out the space over my house both in front and back, for billboard advertising. My house is on commercial property and several others around my area have billboards and none of them have near the advertising potentional that my house has. How can I go about this and can anyone tell me possibly what the going rates might be these days? Thank you.

You'll need to confirm the requirements for advertising at your local level.

If I were you I'd first check with local billboard advertisers: give them your address, confirm the zoning of your property and have them look it up.

Billboard advertising, if it's allowed on your property, can be very lucrative.

Your first step is to check with the zoning office in your City/Town.

I have no idea what rate you could charge - the billboard company would need an easement from you so you will need an Attorney. The company has to be certain that you will not change your mind or interfere and you need the same assurance from them.
