I'm a father to a child who is almost 6 and I have not had him in my custody since he was 9 months old. He has an awesome family now that can not afford the adoption process and all I want to do is give my parental rights up how do I go about doing that legally? What forms have to be filed?

Adoption forms. Other then that there aren't any forms to fill out. Are you still paying your court ordered child support?

You have read this (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family-law/signing-over-rights-read-first-116098.html), right?

There is no easy way or short cut, if another family is going to take a child, they will have to get appointed at least guardianship to start and then adopt the child.

So adoption process has to be started. Of course you and the other parent will need to be paying child support till adoption is finished. ** the other parent will also have so sign their rights over for the adoption
