Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for 2 years and no luck! I'm 22 years old and relatively healthy! My periods are like clock work and I very rarely get Ill. I have been a dancer all my life, so perhaps at 5 ft 1 and weighing just over 7 stone my bmi is slightly below average? I have started taking folic acid this past month, in vein hope that if I do conceive, I have made a nice home for the baby to grow in. I'm really just looking for advice as I don't have a mother figure to turn too. I have an appointment with my doc tomorrow! Thanks guys! Wish me baby dust :-) xxx

If anyone has a success story they would like to share that would be fab! I'm petrified something is wrong with me and I'll never have kids :-( x

Hi Dolly_Dolly... :)

Your weight is fine with your height and since you are having regular cycles, it obviously has not be an issue in that regard.

Have you been actively trying for two years... as in determining when you most likely ovulate, perhaps trying ovulation predictor kits or temping and charting? Or has it been more if it happens, it happens, and not preventing it?

It may just be timing, but if you have been actively trying to become pregnant, it would be a good idea to ask your gp about some testing to be done for both you and your partner to rule out any potential fertility problems.

Smart to have started the folic acid while trying to conceive.

Thanks doula, it's been more, if it happens it happens, but doing charts for the past 6 months! It's so heart breaking seeing my periods come every month! I'm sure many other trying to conceive feel exactly the same... I'm starting to feel like I'm obsessed something is wrong with me and spend most my time looking on pregnancy websites, if I'm not on pregnancy websites, I'm thinking what I could Google next to get any more information and ideas! I've got a gp appointment today, so fingers crossed! Me ad my partner sure are having lots of fun trying though :-) x
