I was recently sued for a revolving credit debt from 1999. I probably made the biggest mistake but finally agreed to a stipulated judgment. I signed the papers the attorney sent to me regarding the stipulated judgment and Covenant to Forebear Collector and sent them back to the attorney who needed to sign them and then was going to file them. I have made three payments and have asked in writing several times for a conformed copy of the documents that the attorney filed on behalf of his client with the court. Almost two months later the attorney states he still does not have the comformed copies back from his process server. I told the attorney to get a new company for his process server that it does not take that long. To get back on track. I received from the attorney today a file stamped copy of a document that says Judgment. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that the line where the copy I signed on the Stipulated judgment says for interest at the rate of 10% and the file stamped copy of what the attorney filed says judgment and the line that says, for interest at the rate of is now interest at the rate of 10% per annum accruing fromt the date of judgment. That was not on what I signed and was changed by the attorney's office after I signed the agreement. What can I do. Do I have any recourse against the attorney's office and I do have copies of everything I signed.
Please anyone can you advice who I should contact and what I should do.
