I purchased a Goodman furnace in 2006 and now I am told I need a part which is 235.00 and it has to come from Texas which is going to take up to 14 working days. I am not happy or satisfied with this and I find the warranty is no good. The repair is being done by Calgary Direct Energy men and not to mention service call fees. Why can this part not come from Toronto Ontario Canada as it would be likely less money and time. Also there is a store in Calgary. I'm sorry to say I will not be promoting Goodman furnaces with this kind of run around and poor service? Thank you. Georgina klassen

If the unit is less that 5 years the part should be under warranty and some of the units have a 10 year warranty also.

I wouldn't condem Goodman due to poor service from one service company. All furnaces have failure at one time or another, some before they should(which is what warranty is for). If the furnace was professionally installed, the installer should be able to get you warranty. Some companys will install a furnace and walk away, only to come back and charge you for repair, when it should be warrantied. This is not a goodman fualt, but an installing company fault. I would be pointing my finger more at them than at Goodman. I hope you get this resolved at minimum cost to you. Good luck and please let us know how things work out.
