I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7 liter engine, that will crank and hit for a split second than die. I have changed the ignition module, the cam shaft sensor and bumped it against a log to reset the security system. Do you have any ideas what else it might be, the fuel pump alson runs fine when u turn the ignition on, Please help!

If the problem persists, replace the coil packs. What does bumping the security system against a log mean?

I did and it must have gone over your head. How could you have missed it? What do you call checking all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter? What do you call checking for spark? What do you call checking for DTCs? What do you call replacing the coil packs? I laid out a complete series of tests for you to follow and you say I did not answer your question and provide you with additional ideas of what else it might be. None of these items did you say you had previously performed.

Teal 99, I'd focus on the Ignition Control Module. You may have spark but it may not be at the right time.
