hi, my dad is 50 yrs old , 1 mth back he got severe pain in his lower back in left side,he is suffering for filaria from 15- 20 yrs, after x-ray & ultra sound psaus absis has been found in left side & got operated before 15 days, after operation he got fewer around 102 c for 1 week , the fewer comes & ends by its own but he swet a lot durind fever, the doctor gives him pipzo injections for 5 days & benocide, after that the fewer get lower a bit but not gone , In MRI it is found that left sided ileo-psoas abscess partially involving L-4 & L-5 vertebra in form of intraosseous granulation component most likely tubercular, now the doctor is giving him AKT-4, HAPPI XT & ALPHA FORTE, BUT he is unable to stand up by his own, he walks a bit by support but not able to stand up, & sometimes around 100 fewer too, his haemoglobin is 9.5 , an orthopadics addvice that he should not try to walk becz the infection may reach to spine, & the surgon who operated the absis advised to try to walk as much as he can, *** advice what should be done, is it a spinal tuberculosis, *** help us regarding the matter, I'm very thankful to u, thanks

Ruby, I would love to help you, but spinal TB is quite serious, arthritis involved, a lot of pain. Your dad is in bad shape for 50.

I can't understand most of what you state possibly because spelling is incorrect in medical terminology.

I don't know where you are located, what type of hospitals you have, surgeons, doctors, whatever. But from my understanding walking is painful for you dad and you are caught in the middle because ortho says he must walk.

Ruby, we can't diagnose here on AMHD or recommend treatment. Your situation is very extreme and you are reaching out for whatever information you can to help your father.

He had an abscess, not good, lots of infection if that is the case.

What are his other medical conditions? Seek a second opinion is all I can say and recommend.
