Hi everyone,
I am a 27 year old male... I have been singing rock for a long time. I took vocal lessons for 6 years, so I always warm up, and sing properly. Recently my voice has been cracking on certain notes and breaking up when I sing... There is no pain, no hoarsness, no discomfort. After awhile it feels like there is something stiff or tight at the back of my throat... I've been singing like regular but my voice just doesn't want to go there. Any suggestions?
Could it be allergies?
Thanks for your time.

You could have nodules on your vocal cords or just forming. Go to a throat specialist. Nodules can cause the cracking and things you said along with hoarseness not being able to hit notes and also can affect your breathing. Hope this helps a little.

OK, thanks. Do they remove them or how is it treated?

They will look in your throat to see if you have them then they will send you to a speech therapist and they will give you exercises to do if that doesn't help they will recommend surgery to remove them. All dr's are different so it may not go in that exact order. It's best to check it out now cause if it is nodules you may catch it before it gets bad and avoid surgery. Good luck.
