Greetings,

I have a 2003 Ford Windstar van with the Premium AM/FM, Cassette and CD.

Either my 5 yr. old or 2 yr. old nephews (or both) used the CD slot as a coin feeder. This was determined when the fuse for the radio and cabin DVD player suddenly shorted out.

I need to know the correct amperage and number (location/position) of the fuse as well as R&R instructions for the radio.

Thanks, in advance

Don

Before doing anything the radio is going to have to come out. And most likely opened up to clear any coins in it. Then worry about fuses etc. Your lucky. A friend of mine had his grandchildren play gas station with their car. Filled it to the top :)

With water.

He made it a whole 2 blocks before he found out what happened.

Yup,

I just want to pull the fuse before I pull the radio.

Problem is that I don't know how to pull the darn thing.

I miss the good ole smash and grab days of my youth in the Bronx!

You will need this:
radio removal tool items - Get great deals on Electronics, eBay Motors items on eBay.com! (http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=radio+removal+tool&_sacat=See-All-Categories)
I would say, try to get the code, but since it blows a fuse, I wouldn't risk it. May be easier to get the code as opposed to possibly doing more damage.
RS also has them.
