I need a plug that will support my welder the needed power is 120v 25 amp . Can someone guide me through the process and explain what wire to use and how to go about it . Im not an electrician but I've played a bit with the wires in my life and would like to do this myself . Any help is welcome . Thanks Tom.

Tom,
I just saw this unanswered question and thought I'd give it a shot.
Usually, the instructions that come with the welder will give you the information you need. What is the make and model of the welder and I'll see if I can find the specs.
Just as a general rule of thumb, for a 120V/25 amp circuit, you would use #10 copper (10/2) and a 30 amp receptacle.
Now, before you rush out and purchase anything, I need to know about the welder to make sure that there are not other requirements that have to be met.
I have never set up a welder so I would have to do the research.
