I have a 1992 chevy tahoe, put a new fuel pump on it, it ran for 3 days no problem, now we have to put gas down the throttle body before it will start and it will run for a few seconds and dies off again, someone said something about a box on the passenger side under the dash to check to see if that is bad, OK now what would that have to do with fuel not getting where it needs to go? Helppppppppppppppp

1. You have an electronic control module that controls the flow of fuel to the injector body. Your module may be bad.
2. You may have a crankshaft position sensor that tell the module when to release the fuel it too may be bad.
3. Systems vary depending on engine and 4 wheel drive or not.
A simple test with a scan tool may answer your question.

So that ecm would be under the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle?

. Check the fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse/relay box with a test light or multimeter:

It would be prudent and easy to test all under hood and under dash fuses.

. Check the fuel pump relay, likely located in the under hood fuse/relay box.
