So I was watching TV and the sound went off. The picture is still fine and everything but the sound isn't working. I've tried all the basic stuff - make sure mute isn't on, made sure the cables are connected all the way and everything. The weird thing is that I started up the Nintendo Wii and for that the TV plays sound. Any reason why this could be or how to fix it?
The TV is an LG 37LH20 and only about a year old.

What else is connected to the TV? Is it cable/satellite/antenna? And is there a box? What method are you using to connect it (HDMI, component, composite, etc)?
Try this diagnostic steps:
- Connect your cable or satellite box to the same input as the Wii. Do you get sound?
- If not, try other inputs on the TV.
- If you experience the same issue of no sound, try other methods of connection and different sets of cables.
- If it continues, it is likely your box needs replacement.
- If you have the issue on only the one input, or that one type of input, your TV needs repair and if it is within the one year warranty I would call LG. Or if you purchased it from a store and purchased their service warranty, you will want to call the associated number for that.
