I have a 4 inch sewer line of cast iron to cut and join it to ABS. Do not have enough room for chain cutters and have been advised that resiprocating saw may be the answer, but do they make a blade that will cut the cast iron ? Also would a cutting wheel on an angle grinder do the job ? Tks. Dave.

Not the saw you were talking about but is a great 12 inch blade for it. I am sure they have a blade for the other saw but did not find it on the stores web site.

Father is right. I would add, if you don't want to buy a blade to just go to any rental store and rent a 12" or preferably a 14" gas powered cut off saw. You should then be able to make a clean cut for your rubber hubless transition connnector converting back to pvc.

When we have a vertical cast iron cut or a cut in a tight spot we use a set of ratchet cutters. Ratchet cutters are much faster, gives a cleaner cut and is safer to use then a saw. Regards, Tom
