Assalaam Alaikum
I am a sunni muslim and I work in a corporate company and around me I have many people of other religions. And recently during a talk with my non muslim colleague he revelaed to me that he believes in some Darga sharifs and also visits those places on every weekend with lot of aqeedah that they will keep him safe and help him in his daily life. He also said that he fasts for all 30 days during the holy month of Ramdaan. So I just wanted to know if his fasts will be accepted as generally seeing he is not at all paaak and he feels that just staying for the whole day without food is called fasting. So please tell me how I can motivate him to the true path of fasting according to a muslim.

Assalaamu Aleiqum,

I am not Dr. Naik, but did you say this person was a non Muslim? Your first step should be to guide him to utterance of the Shahada. Until he reverts to Islam, his fasting habits do not matter.
