Have an 06 F-350 6.0L. I parked it, went to run errands, and came back out. Started the truck, and it idled like it was supposed to. Put it into drive, and the motor started to chug, blew smoke and killed. Its starts fine, but continues to do the same thing. I have no idea what is going on here, please help if you have any idea what could be going on!

Have you changed both of the fuel filters and the air filter recently? These links may help:

If the problem persists, check the fuel pressure. The fuel pump may worn and the pressure drops, once it gets heat soaked. Ensure all water is purged.
