Im 18 and last year my period just stopped I wasn't particularly stressed no major weight loss etc.. I have always had irregular perioids since I was 10 they were always couple of days maybe a week late I saw my doc in April and he says apparanly I'm not ovulating! Why is this and how do I get my period back?
Thanks sorry for going on

lissyj, if you were at the doctor why didn't you ask these questions of him. He would know, after testing, why you are not ovulating, which is a 'catch all' phrase IMO and he could have done better then that considering you are l8 and just leaning about your body. We can't answer your question because we can't test you.

I suggest you make another appt. This could be serious and you need to know what you can do.

OK thanks I will:) my doc just seems kind of irritated every time I mention my missing period and says its only a problem if I were to plan a family

Hun,

Your doctor sounds like a JERK. Please find a new doctor and make an appointment with him/her. You deserve answers and better care than this person is apparently willing to give.

You should be able to know why you aren't having periods/ovulating. Without proper help you'll never know what the issue is and who knows.. it could affect your ability to conceive later (if that's what you wish). Its up to the patient to be proactive in her own care so if you want to know, you'll have to push for the answers.

Good luck!
