I have heard so many stories of people who got pregnant and it was by accident... or they were cheating and got the other woman pregnant, etc. They just get pregnant, PERIOD. I was a little concerned, is it easier for some woman to get pregnant much more than others could? How do you know if you CAN NOT become pregnant? Are there certain days in which you can't conceive, and is that what the ovulation calculator is for? If you have any additional information that would also be helpful. Thanks!.

Umm may I ask how old you are? A lot of what you ask is generally covered in high school level sex ed classes.

A woman has a cycle. During that cycle, she produces eggs (ovulates). If the egg is not fertilized by a sperm during the cycle, the egg is purged in menstruation.

Fertilization is a hit and miss thing. It only requires one strong little swimmer to meet up with the egg. So some of this depends on the number of sperm produced. Some women are more fertile, some men produce more sperm. Some women are more regular and predictable in their cycle and fertile/infertile times.

There are only two ways you CANNOT become pregnant. Either you don't produce any eggs or you don't have sexual intercourse.

Hello s:

It's simple. If you want to get pregnant, it's HARD.. But, if you DON'T, it's surprisingly EASY.
