Need to run water supply line to new water and ice equipped refrigerator. Have reverse osmosis system with 3/8" water line (plastic) to spout. Need to tap inline for a 1/4" line (plastic) to fridge. Do I use a tee 3/8" to 3/8" to 1/4" or a tap with a 1/4" with shut off valve?

Hello Scott,

You can go either way but I would suggest to go with the S/O valve, Thanks.

Here's what i would use, (see image)
3 piece construction-nut\, sleeve & body with attached insert; 3 end compression; use with copper\, brass\, aluminum or PLASTIC TUBING; standard fittings use short nuts-long nuts needed for higher vibration applications; temperature range: -65°f-250°f; easy to disassemble no flaring tool required; great for use with water\, gasoline\, oil & vacuum lines; tube o.d. size: 1/4 compression; 3/8" compression; thread size: 7/16-24; thread size: 9/16-24
Make sure the inserts come with it. Good luck, tom
