Are the police ( system) keeping someone in jail or prison, improperly ( in your opinion)
Or has someone been committed to a mental or nursing facility improperly
Or some other option I am not guessing at

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. However, because it's within the criminal justice system, and there are many civil violations; would'nt I have to focus more on civil rights? Please advise, and thank you for your help.

Hey Excon: Official Oppression is usually when a political or public figure places someone into custody with an intent to bring harm. And unjust commitment usually occurs when the person is committed into a mental institution or nursing home illegally.

Actually you're right in both your answers. This all occurred while they were in custody illegally. Would this be Civil Law or Civil Rights Law? Thanks for your helpl also.
