I have gone through 3 receivers on this fan as they fry after about a year. This time I attempted to bypass the remote and just use the wall switch to turn the fan on and off. My house is 55 yrs old so it only has the one (Black and white ) wire plan. Well everything went well as the Miraramar has two globes of light that needed energizing which I was able to do. However the fan motor has 4 multi colored wires coming from it: gray,Yellow, Red and Pink. I have tried various combinations of these wires conntected to the power (Black) from the wall switch but the fan motor does not respond at all (no hum) Do you know what I should try next? BTW They discontinued this model fan.. I think I know why now.
