How do you stop a levy on my bank account from a debt 7 years ago that I was never served the papers on to go to court so now they are taking all my money and I am a single father with a son and I have rent,lights,water bill and laon payment to make every month what can I do to stop this.

If they got a default judgment because you were never served, then you can try to get the judgment vacated for improper service. If the bank received a writ of execution, that writ should have the info about the judgment.

But this will only be a delaying tactic. If the debt is valid, they will serve you properly before you leave the courthouse.

To have a levy on your bank account they had to get a judgement.

No idea of what type of debt it is, ( makes a difference) IRS for exmple may freeze your accounts.

Also if you borrowed money and signed any notes allowing them a summary judgement if you failed to make the payments.

But if they did have a court hearing and you were not notified, you will have to appeal to have the judgement lifted.
