I had my period July 15 and it was normal. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex after that, and the next morning I took EC. About Two weeks after my period in July, ten days before my next expected period, I had light bleeding for about 3 days. This bleeding started August 2 and my period was supposed to be August 12th. It was not like a normal period at all. No cramps or bloating. No PMS. I took a home pregnancy test after this to check if I was pregnant, and it showed up negative. After this, there were a few more times we had unprotected sex. Now, it is August 20, and I have still not had my period. I have felt dizzy/nausous in the morning, but never threw up. I have been having headaches also, been very tired, and food just doesn't look appetizing. Chances of being pregnant?

HI sunshine... you really only need to post your question one time. Too many posts get lost in the shuffle... :)
The bleeding you had after the EC may have been from that. It is pretty common to have bleeding associated with emergency contraception. It can also throw your cycle off a bit.
However, since you had more unprotected sex after that, pregnancy is of course a possibility. I am not sure why you were not being protected if you are not wanting to become pregnant?
Since the last pregnancy test was around the beginning of the month, I would try another test. Be sure you follow the directions exactly... especially reading it within the time frame required for an accurate reading.
If still negative, either wait and see what happens with your period for September, they could still just be off from the EC, or ask your doctor about having a blood test.
In the meantime, consider some form of birth control every time you have sex to decrease the chances of a surprise pregnancy.

I took ec because I got scared and wasn't thinking clearly. Afterwards, I felt guilty. I talked to my boyfriend about this, and we decided no more birth control. We decided that we are ready for this next step. Thank you for your advice.

I am not sure what your are thinking but, it sounds like you need a crash course in the "human sexuality", "reproductive system." I honestly can't believe a normal thinking girl would act in such a manner unless you intentionally wanted a baby? But that's just it, you and your Boyfriends actions are that of a child and before you know it, you will be responsible for making a decision regarding another human being... an innocent one at that!
You should both do better then this... its not smart or responsible and right now, you are the lead character in "sex for dummies." PLEASE consider the "real life" outcome and not yourself. There is a strong possibility that your are playing with the life of an un-born baby and the reality is, that baby doesn't have a say in whether or not he/she wants to be stuck with you as a parent.
BE RESPONSIBLE... SAFE SEX IS EASY, FREE AND AVAILABLE... IT'S THE BEST SOLUTION COMPARED TO YOUR OTHER OPTIONS. Most importantly, If you and your boyfriend are old enough to enjoy the joy of sex, then step up to the plate... quit playing with fire & grow up.

Sunshinechild,
How old are you and your boyfriend? Why not consider marriage prior to having a child?

I am 19 and he is 23. Marriage is definitely a possibility, but for now, I just need advice on this. I am wondering about other causes of a late period.

in regards to the comment made by suzonthebaby - that's abit harsh! Everybody makes mistakes, give the poor girl a break. If you and your boyfriend have decided no more birth control than that's your choice and you shouldn't be made to feel guilty about it.
There are many possibilities for a late period, stress can be a cause and taking EC can sometimes mess up your cycle. It sounds like you have some common symptoms of pregnancy so perhaps go to your docs for peace of mind x
Oh and just for the record, I still got pregnant whilst using birth control so accidents still happen no matter how safe you are :)
