Any weight loss or gain? Sleep pattern off? Illness? Or pregnant?
It can be many things.

If its bothering you that much, go see a gyno that's your best bet.

If you have had sex, you need to seriously consider this to be an urgent situation that requires your attention and could ultimately have a very real "human reality" to it. Being pro-active & testing is crucial.

Taking Plan B pill only works if you think you may have accidentally gotten pregnant within past 48hrs (not confirmed, could be only 24). A late period along with symptoms could be due to many reasons. However, if you had sex you should take a pregnancy test... take two test! If you are still late, you really need to visit a free clinic or your personal Physician. Regardless & most importantly, visiting a "professional" is the most responsible thing to do.

BTW: If you are on the pill, some brands make the normal flow go from whatever may be "normal", to light spotting over time. If you have been on the pill for a long time, it is common for most to decrease symptoms and have light spotting. In fact, some of the pill formulas can make the flow become barely noticeable at all. If sexually active, you need that sign from "Mother Nature" so you can insure all is well with your body. Its important to be aware & never wait too long to get tested. If it is a pill issue, the Dr can re-prescribe a different brand that will provide more flow activity to your cycle and peace of mind.

If your not sexually active, there are many reasons for late periods. Perhaps your body is changing and females do... all the time. UGH If you and your Physician agree, the pill can help regulate you if you and could be an reasonable option to provide regularity. On the other hand, and perhaps a healthier option until you are ready for the "lifetime commitment" of a child may be to abstain? Not as fun but works.

Ultimately, a healthy diet, monitoring stress & physical activity is crucial to maintaining a healthy balance... Good luck
