I'm sixteen, 5'4 (163cm) and 12 stone (168 pounds) . I'm quite overweight for my age and due to strange fat deposition I can be uncomfortable at times (my neck)...
Recently I have been feeling so hungry that I will eat loads- feel incredibly full (to the point where I feel sick.) and then I will be hungry again moments later. I know there are people worse off than myself but I want to stop now before I gain anymore weight. I used to be quite fit before I had two years off school (for various reasons... ) and I gained about three stone rappidly.
I want to lose weight but I'm not sure how to go about it. I also have coeliac disease but didn't get any of the effects such as not being able to gain weight.
Any tips for keeping my brain off food? I'm not an active person, I needn't eat as much as I do.

Eatting fruits actually fills you up. I can eat a banana and a peach and can't believe it fills me.
Also try salad, but with EVERYTHING and what I mean by that
Lettuce tomatoes peppers onions cauliflower broccoli and I add a little cheese for flavor and oregano, but with no dressing, and it REALLY fills you up, and will keep your mind off food plus its healthy for you.
Also smoothies, but make your own.
I use fresh strawberrys a banana pineapple a cup of soy milk, and a cup of ice and blend it together. ITS sooo good.
Go for walks when your bored, instead of eatting. And get proper sleep.

First, make sure that all the stuff you are eating is gluten free. Staying off bread and pasta isn't enough, you need to check the label of every single thing you eat.
Where do you store your fat? Round your middle or on your hips and thighs?
If you've a lot of fat around your middle, this is often a sign of insulin problems, and you need to cut back on the refined carbs. One side effect of insulin issues is that you tend to crave sugary/starchy food, then feel hungry again very soon after eating them.
Cut out all the white carbs. This means sugar in any form (including honey), bread, pasta, rice, cereals (yes, cornflakes too), potatoes, sodas. Eat fresh whole foods, especially eggs, oily fish, fresh meat and chicken, lots and lots of green veg, olive oil, dairy, berries, nuts.
The first couple of days will be difficult if you are not used to eating like that, but after about three days, you will start to feel a lot better, more energetic, calmer, and best of all, only hungry at meal times.

Are you an emotional/boredom eater? I can eat stuff that's good for me, or stuff that's really bad for me and it seems as if 30 minutes later I could eat it all over again. I know that I eat when I'm bored - it just kills time doing something enjoyable. I know I eat when I'm emotional - having a 'treat' will cheer me up won't it? I sometimes eat just because it feels nice to have something in my mouth: the taste, the action of chewing, smelling, looking forward to something 'nice'.
I can identify where I go wrong, but that doesn't mean I know how best to stop it. I've got 3 weddings to go to in the next 4 months and I'm trying to loose weight for one that is only 4 weeks away... but no matter how much I want to drop a dress size, I'm still munching all the stuff that is bad for me and I'll loose a pound or two one week then gain it the next. We all know when we are eating badly, we all know what is good for us... but sometimes the 'need for nice' is overwhelming.
I'm good when I can be good, if I'm not good, I don't beat myself up about it... I don't agree that something we need to do to simply stay alive - eat - should come with a guilt trip every time one strays from the straight and narrow.
I simply don't buy the stuff that I know is bad for me, so it's not at home when I have one of my moments... if I can't be bothered to walk less than 5 minutes to the shops to get a treat, I clearly don't really want that treat.
Try to identify what the actual process of eating does for you... if I'm bored, I get up and do something to occupy myself - doesn't always work, but sometimes it does and that is one less time that I shove rubbish into my face - so no weight to be gained that time!
It's not easy... we are bombarded with ads for all that stuff that's bad for us and it's the stuff that's bad for us that tastes so damned good!
Good Luck
