Can anyone provide expert advice on how long it would take for me to get a clear UA drug test (GCMS)? I have been taking 4 Lortab per day for quite a while.

If you use the AMHD search feature you will find this has been asked and answered a hundred times, some very recently, sometimes by experts.

Some of this depends on the strength of the Lortabs and the length of time you've been taking them.

Lortab (Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablets, USP, 2.5 mg/500 mg) A standard drug screen will probably not detect Hydrocodone. Many opiate tests test only for morphine (which both codeine and heroin break down into). Hydrocodone breaks down into Hydromorphone and is therefore not detected by these tests.

Tests are available that will detect hydrocodone (and hydromorphone, which it breaks down into). So test results will depend on the particular type of test that is used (actually, the threshold used. Standard is 2000 ng and Hydrocodone/morphone would require 100 ng threshhold). Possible on GC/MS but special setting.

Otherwise elminination requires about 3-4 days (range 1-6).
