Sooo this guy that asked me out is friend with my ex crush(meaning I use to like him) and me and the ex crush are really good friends and I told him his friend asked me out he picked all the negative stuff about him. Is that a sign he likes me or a sign he's looking out for me?

It's possible... however you did say that you were good friends. It's hard in these scenarios to tell if it's jealousy or not. I think it might be, because if he wasn't jealous I can think of a reason he would decided to sell out his friend. So it seems likely that he might like you, however I am not a hundred percent on this. The only way you will probably know for sure is if you confront him on it, or he gives you a few more signs...

Maybe its because he doesn't like his friend that much. My best friend's boyfriend wasn't a really good friend of mine and he talked a lot of crap about my boyfriend. Both of them did. I hated it. They even tried to break us up. So I prefer you try to be straight and forward and actually ask either your boyfriend or your ex-crush and see what's up.
