Hello,
This weekend's project was to paint the hallway - that worked out. However, I removed the thermostat as well, with the intent on installing a programmable type so that throughout the day the temp would adjust based on who was home, etc.

Problem - stupid me didn't write down what terminal of the original thermostat was connected to which wire. So now I can neither install the new one, nor can I put the original back on!

I pulled the access cover off the outside unit, hoping the terminal letters would match... no such luck. So, here is what I have:

Rheem Classic series 10 -
terminal lettering:
C
D
Y
B
R

Thermostats -

White-Rogers (type 1F58-77 153-1510)
Terminal letters:
G
Y
R
W2
X1
O
B
E
note - there were no jumpers on it originally, and only five wires were connected

OR

Honeywell
O/B
Y
G
W
R

What I'm looking for is the proper terminal connections from the outside Rheem unit to EITHER of the thermostats - just need the A/C working again.

I've looked around a bit trying to see is someone else had the issue - there are similar, but the terminal letters don't match what I have and I'd rather not guess with this one.

Thanks for any help

Could the D be a G?
