I live in a 1956 brick ranch with a full basement in Atlanta, Ga. The humidity in the summer is in the 80-90%s. The ceiling & walls in my interior hallways "weep"; sometimes so badly that it drips onto the floor. The bedrooms have ceiling fans; & the other rooms are not a problem. Just the hallway & this year the stairwell, too. ( My stairs to the basement are open and in the center of the house off the hallway. We moved them there by taking part of bedroom when we finished the basement a couple of decades ago.. ) I have a lot of vents in the attic as well, vents that are at the top of the roof that run the length of the house & three fan/vents. Walking down the hallway you can sometimes feel the heat difference as you pass through the areas near the pull down attic steps. Both these steps and the attic fan have Styrofoam insulation boxes over the openings. Needless to say, the windows this time of year always have condensation as well.
