I am the age of 16, and reside in Ontario, Canada. I have recently got caught shoplifting with a friend and we both got taken to the security office for some information. Security then called a police, and when he arrived they decided to let us off with a warning seeing how this was our first offence. Security then let me go without calling my parents (so they do not know anything), but my friend had to call their parents because of their age of being 15. My questions are 1.) Will I receive a civil recovery demand letter? 2.) Will this affect any jobs or universities in the future? 3.) Will the police get contact o my parents because they didn't when I was at the office? I know what I did was wrong, and I completely understand how irresponsible and stupid that was, but I can't have my parents finding out or my life will just end. Thanks
