Can someone tell me what this type of art is called and possibly the artist? It appears to be felt, but not really sure. Parts of it are raised. There are no signatures or any identifying marks, etc.

The text by the Buffalo nickel is: "This coin is known as the Buffalo, Bison, or Indian Head Nickel designed by James E. Frasier. The bison was modeled after Black Diamond in the New York Zoological Garden.

Thanks.

Nothing really special about this artwork. It isn't felt, but a paper product.

This made by forming wet paper pulp over a relief - or raised molding - of the buffalo and letting it dry. Probably from the late 70s to mid 80s. With the mold being fairly substantially made (clay or plaster) lots of these may have been cast. Hopes this helps you! Jay
