Do I just take 2 of the batteries which will give me enough (16v) or just take it downstream of 48v feed and then put in reducer? Just need it to run stereo and air horn relay.

How many batteries are in the golf cart? Are they 6 or 12 volt deep cycles?

If only 4 batteries then its either 24 volt (4x6v) or 48 volt (4x12v)

If your using 6 volt batteries then choose 2 from either end. If 12 volt then just 1 from either end.
