We held our daughter back in 3rd grade. But now going into the 8th she is really ready to move to high school. We live in Washington State. Where do we begin?

You would talk to the school counselor and the principal and homeroom teacher.

My step-daughter's teacher approached us two years ago saying she wanted to get her skipped a grade cause the work was just too easy for her. So the next school year we got her enrolled in all advanced classes, and she had to pass all with at least 90% then she would be able to skip a grade, so she's going from fourth to sixth this year. It may take a while. But I think it really depends on the school that she attends. P.S. We live in Washington State as well.
