I inherited a Honda Harmony H1011H from a friend who moved to the condo.
He was using MTD V Belt to rplace the Honda blade belt. Now it is time to replace again. Is the spec.for the Honda parts available any where (including Drive Belt 76184-772-003)? Is the MTD V belt 754-0280A the same spec. to Honda7681-772-L02 Blade Drive Belt?? It would be a littlle easier to find MTD Belts in our area than Honda Belt.
Appliciated if any one can help... Thanks...

Hi,
Cannot answer precisely since I am unable to get the Honda spec. The MTD number is a front Transmatic belt that is nominally 53" though it is dependent on the designation of the belt(L, A, etc.)
In a nutshell if the MTD belt works, have at it. You may want to see if a supplier in your area carries Kevlar belts that are 5/8" x 53" to save a little. The MTD belt is sheathed in Kevlar, so nothing else should be considered.
Peace,
Clarke

Thanks very much crigby:

I have check with Honda web and dealer but unable to get any spec. on the HONDA belt or any cross ref. with other make or sizes for substution. I was told by one dealder that the HONDA Belt should not be substitue with other belt since the sizes spec. are not the same (ie.. Honda belt is wider and thicker than MTD) and can cause damage to the deck pulleys and will not work as well(prematurely worn out/breake) because it will not fit properly.
Well... I guest that I need to try to find the Honda spec. or some cross reference and finally try the MTD again...
Thanks
