I am having trouble wiring the condenser fan motor in with capacitor and new contactor on a single phase 240V system. I have no wiring diagrams to go by as this condenser is 20 plus years old. The compressor will fire but I cannot get the fan motor to run even though it's wired off both sides of the contactor which should be completing the circuit. I have 2 browns and a black coming from the motor. One brown on capacitor and other 2 leads on T1 and T2 from contactor. Any help, wiring diagrams, would be appreciated.

Wiring diagram for motor is on the side of the housing,, most times it also is on the box motor came in

Most replacement motor call for both brown wires to go on the new matching capicitor that you should have bought
Are you sure you have the right motor?

Thanks for the help. The condenser motor was 20 plus years old but was working before I had to replace the contactor. Once contactor was replaced, the condenser motor then quit working. Ohmmed all out and found brown wire was open on condenser motor, (thank goodness compressor worked through all of this). It was wired wrong it turns out from the beginning although I couldn't see the whole diagram on the side of the condenser motor as it was partially rubbed off. Originally it was black from T1 to cap. Brown white from other side of cap to motor, white left open and laying in electric tray area. Black to T2. I then made the mistake of leaving black from T1 to cap once I had to get the new motor. Finally got it when I figured all of this out and popped my fuses on the disconnect. Here's how they should all go apparently.
Brown and Brown/ white to each side of capacitor
Black and white to T1 and T2.
That's it. I took jumper from T1 to cap out of circuit and now everything works great. This was a case of one problem just continuing to happen after another. By the way, I replaced the capacitor as it was only a 4mFD and should have been a 7.5mFD from the beginning. I don't know what happened back in 1989 long before I moved into the house, but I think I've fixed it correctly now. I hope this helps others.
