This question has been asked and answered many time here. One of the advantages of a site like this is that it forms a knowledge base that can be researched. It pays to search around before posting because you can often find an answer without having to post.

There are NO laws governing dating. Any laws involving an older person in a relationship with a younger one deals with sexual activity. However, a minor is still under the control of a parent. And a person interfering with a parents instructions could get in trouble from that.

A 20 yr old should have very little in common with a 16 yr old. Generally such a difference will not work so why push it?

I would be careful if her dad does not like him then things could get messy. If he is willing to wait for her until she turns 18 then get they should def wait until then to do anything and get married.

Yes, how mean is the father, there are fathers in jail today for killing someone seeing their daughter. Next why does he not know, and how can you know he does not approve if he does not know.

Since he is an adult and she is a minor her parents could file for an interference of custody ( at least here in GA they do all the time) to keep an adult from their child.
