OK so I got off the IUD Mirena on July 16, 2010 and I was diagnosed with p.c.o.s. I then got put on the patch but it wasn't working out for me so now I am using no form of birth control, not even condoms. I wasn't pregnant in July they did a ultra sound and it was a negative. Then comes August and on the 12th, today I start like spotting red color but it's not a normal period only when I wipe. I have been feeling bloated, breast tenderness. Craving food and very moody. I have taken pregnancy test and they have all been negative. I started my period July 8,2010 and so I think I was 4 days late starting August 12, 2010 if this is my period but I don't know for sure. Someone said it could all be in my head. I have had sex like every day from July 29, 2010 to today( Aug. 12, 2010) unprotected. Is it in my head? Is this my period? I don't want to go to the doctor and waste time. A little about myself I am 23years old I have two kids ages three and two. I just don't know what is going on with my body. Could this be implantation bleeding? I don't know! Any advice would be greatly appreciated please. Thank You if you need to know anything let me know. I hope I detailed everything that has been going on fully for you! Again... THANK YOU!!

It could be from the switching of birth control as your body adjusts. Also, with having PCOS, irregular cycles are not uncommon.

You may need to give it another month so that your body has a chance to adjust to the lack of hormones from the birth control.

Were you having periods with the IUD? Some women will find they slow down or stop altogether. Were your periods regular before any birth control usage?

If they have usually been regular, give it another week and see if you have a period like you normally would. If not, try another test at that time. If still negative, see what happens next month. Certainly you can try more tests, or of course see your doctor, if you continue having possible pregnancy symptoms.
