I have been paying child support for a child since I found out he existed at age 3 up on till he turned 18, which was fairly recent. There was a child support order in place and was dismissed by the court in June 2010 as it was a temporary order. Now the mother is taking me back to court for new support order as the child is no enrolled in university. I have always had my doubts about being the father of this child and now wants to establish paternity. Do you see any difficulty in me establishing paternity of an 18 year old male. My case is the Ontario, Canada.

I would respond with a request for DNA (you never know unless you ask) but I wouldn't be surprised if it is not granted. The time to question paternity was 15 years and a whole lot of dollars ago.

Again, you never know unless you ask.

I agree with Judy, it doesn't hurt to file a petition with the court. But since you have accepted the child and paid support for 15 yrs, it may be too late.
