Hi All,
We have a Trane XB80 in the basement. I think that's a single stage system with Aux.
I bought a new Hunter Thermostat model 44150C to replace the Trane Weathertron thermostat Upstairs in the house.
The Trane had 8 wires connected:
Blue
Black (X2 in the thermostat)
Tan (brown)
Orange
White
Yellow
Red
Green

It just so happens we already had a Hunter thermostat downstairs set for STD (versus HP) HG (for Heat Gas versus Heat Electric).
The wiring on the downstairs Hunter Thermostat has:

Red to the RH (jumpered to RC);
Green to Green
White to W/B
Yellow to Y/O

After setting the upstairs wiring and dip switches identical to the thermostat downstairs, the AC unit fires up but blows Hot air.
So I'm not sure if this Hunter model supports a heat pump with an Aux.
Or if that even matters...
Just not sure why it would blow Hot air.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
Ed

Possible the compressors not running

That may be... I switched out the Hunter for a Lux digital thermostat a few minutes ago. Same thing... the Cool setting is blowing hot air.

Must be me...
