I put a deposit down on a seal point birman female kitten A while a go, A few days Ago I went to pick which one I wanted.
When I first walked in to where the kittens Where the smallest of the litter came straight up to me and had a sniff I went to stroke it It flinched a little but was fine.
The breeder took me Into A room so I could get to know the two kittens I could choose from better with out getting confused to which was which.
The smallest of the litter went exploring The breed took out a toy and the little kitten didn't really take any notice of what I saw as I was talking to her at the same time but her sister seemed to.
The smallest then came to sitt on my lap and laid there letting her stroke her tell put her back down she also loved biting and pounceing on my lobg top I was wearing.
She did play with me for a while but I noticed She had sleep in her eye but I fell in love with her so I picked her.
The breeder Did not mention this was the Smallest (runt) of the litter but she was noticeable smaller then the reast of the litter which came in to play just before I went.
When I got home it struck me that she was the smallest of the litter and had deep concerns as I have always heard bad things about the runt of any animal and have be warned away from them.
I rung the breeder and she confirmed that this was the smallest of the litter, she also saod that the kitten I picked had no health issuse up to date and that she got on fine with her mother.
She will also be taking the kitten for a vet check up before I take her home and I will recive the papers for this. She also said that she feels there is nothing to be worried about, but If I want I can decide to change my mind and take home her older bigger sister.
I am torn on what to do as my heart lies with the runt or the litter but my sense says to go with the bigger sister.
Dose anyone have any advice?
What do you think is the right thing to do?
Thank you very much for all your help I am sorry it was so long x
