Hi,
About 20 years ago I let a major charge card go delinquent. I never paid it. Since then my credit has improved, I've owned a home and have excellent credit. I recently started working for a company and was denied a company charge card due to the outstanding debt that I have from 20 years ago.
This hasn't been on my credit report in several years.
My question is twofold - 1) will they put this on my credit report now, since I contacted them to find out why I was denied?
2) Can they still try to collect on this? I'm not dealing with a debt collection agency but the charge card company itself.
The irony is that I was given a charge card years ago at another company I worked for. They didn't deny me then.
Thanks
