Good afternoon,

Are you planning on using a wall switch for the light?

If not, do this:

Black from the ceiling goes to Black (fan) and Blue (light). White from the ceiling goes to White on the device and bare ground goes to green or bare on the fixture.

If you are planning to use a wall switch, then you would need to build a "switch loop" from the fixture to the switch and back.

To do this you would run a new cable 14/2 w. ground from the fixture to the switch location on the wall.

At the ceiling, you would connect the Black from the ceiling to the white (re-tasked neutral - - place black or red electrical tape around both ends of this wire to signify that it is no longer a Neutral wire)

Your new connections at the ceiling would be:

Black from the ceiling, Re-tasked Neutral and Black from the fan.

Black from the switch to Blue from the fan.

White from the fan to white from the ceiling.

At the switch, I like to connect the input to the switch to the bottom screw (re-tasked white conductor) and the Black return to the top of the switch.

Truth dictates that I tell you that it really does not matter for a single switch.

That should do it.
