If anybody could help me I have a question about if they have a video tape with someone that only looks like you can they charge you with the crime just because they think its you

Sure they can. But, in order to win a conviction, they have to PROVE it. If this happened to you, don't talk with them, and hire a good lawyer.

Just tell us more, chicka. If the video looks like you, then it is you. They must have other evidence regarding the theft, not only the video. Someone recognized you I guess. If so, yes, they can charge you.

Of course they can, my friends at work were laughing this week, I look "a lot" like a criminal wanted nationally for a crime. I did not see the humor in it.

So they would hopefully have other evidence but that is enough to at least bring you in to be questioned and maybe enough to charge you.
