There's this girl I kind of like. At an orchestra competition I lent her my phone to call hers and she's been texting me ever since. It annoyed me at first but now I like it. One night I got a text saying I think I'm in love with you... I freaked out and she said her friend texted it to me. Every time I ask her something serious (I'm going to camp next week are you going to miss me?) she gives a serious answer then says someone else like her cousin texted it. I'd like to ask her out but I don't if I should or what to say.

From here on out realize that nothing is serious unless you ask it in person. Also any texting going on is not private in any way. Don't ask her anything beyond general qustions in text.

Her parents will be there and she might like the idea. I think fourteen is a little young to date ,but if you are at her house (supervised) ask her.:)

I'd ask her if she could give you an answer instead of her cousin.
If there is something you want to know, don't text her. Call her and ask her.

You don't know if all of this stemmed from her or her cousin.
I would just leave this alone until or if you hear directly from her.

Text her back and ask her to tell her "cousin" not to text you. Tell her you want the texts to come from her. I know a lot of people don't talk on the phone now.

Ask her if she is interested in having a boyfriend and take it from there.

Its not uncommon as a punishment to have a phone taken away. It may just be that simple. I wouldn't worry about it and when you see her you can ask.

She likes you, but she's afraid that you won't accept her in your life. If she stopped texting its either because she moved on, she doesn't want to ruin the friendship you both have currently, or she's out of cash and her parents won't give her any more

Nevertheless, Keep the optimism, and its always better to talk in person or even on the phone. That woul be the best way to ask her out.
