There ISN'T such a thing as an EU passport as they are separately issued by the member states. Passports of the European Union - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passports_of_the_European_Union)

Why do you feel the need to get a different passport?

You will not acquire a german passport unless one of your antecedents was born in Germany. Before l973 one acquired german passport by proving their father was born in German, after that date they referred to the grandfather.

Unless you have proof of your family being german nationals, then you won't get a german passport.

It is always best to check with your own country's immigration before spending time and money.
